C.A.P.P.E.R. (Senior Design Project)

C.A.P.P.E.R.

2017

Abstract:

The purpose of this project is to design and integrate an autonomous capping system to be integrated on a preexisting production line. The current line fills and delivers 8 bottles every 14 seconds by hand from three factory workers. Therefore, C.A.P.P.E.R. must place and pre-tighten 8 caps within 10 seconds, leaving 4 seconds for travel time. The design will be deemed successful for the company when tested against a proven reliability of greater 99.17%.

  • This project consists of over 700 parts.
  • Incorporated the use of a Gantt Chart, BOM, CPM, OPC, and Part #s to stay on schedule and document progress
